TOOTHACHE
MEDIUM: AUDIO
ARTIST’S NOTE:
“I have always been obsessed with the concept of Wonderland, so much so that it has bled into my music. It was the inspiration behind my album and in particular this song which I created on my iPad in my bedroom - I hope you like it.”
LYRICS:
I followed a rabbit and fell down a hole
Became quite a giant, then suddenly so small
All cause my life was becoming so dull
So…
I thought what the hell
I'll fall to somewhere, somewhere else instead
I grew till my head was as big as a house
Had tea with a hatter, a hare and a mouse
They all looked at me strangely
Maybe I'm the one that's going crazy
But I shrunk and I grew
Till I made it through
And I thought what the hell
I'll crawl to somewhere, somewhere else instead
Yes I thought what the hell
I'll fall to somewhere, somewhere else instead
Blue Clarke, 21, Bristol - UK ✯
“My name is Blue Clarke, I am 21 and from Bristol in the South-West of England. My whole album (Toothache) is inspired by one of my favourite films - the surreal 1988 Czech Alice in Wonderland adaptation ‘Alice’ directed by Jan Svankmajer. The album, including this song, was made almost entirely using garage band on my iPad - just me, my guitar and a tiny fake 2D piano in my bedroom.”
